Renault is bringing back iconic names for its new line of electric vans. The Estafette and Goelette, classic models from the 1950s to 1980s, will be relaunched with a modern design and electric powertrain, alongside a new generation of the Trafic.
The Estafette will feature a futuristic look inspired by a concept presented at IAA Transportation, while the Goelette will be available in various configurations to meet different commercial needs.
The Trafic, which has sold over 2.5 million units since the 1980s, will also receive a refreshed design to make it more attractive and functional. The model will be designed to facilitate access to underground parking and improve aerodynamics with a rear spoiler and deflectors.
All three vans will be produced in France and will include features such as sliding doors, large windshields, and reinforced body protection.
The new models will be launched in 2026 under the “E-Tech” brand, emphasizing their electric powertrain. The project was developed by Flexis, a company created by Renault in partnership with Volvo and the logistics company CMA CGM Group.
Renault and Volvo each invested $309 million, while CMA CGM contributed $123.6 million to drive this new era of sustainable commercial mobility.
